We are actively seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team to provide essential care and support to a 5-year-old girl with complex clinical needs within the comfort of her family home environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Paediatric Complex Carer with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to a young child with a genetic epilepsy syndrome, global developmental delay, and additional complex clinical needs. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:

  • Providing continuous overnight monitoring and support.
  • Managing and responding to seizures appropriately.
  • Supporting ventilation care.
  • Managing NJ/NG feeding tubes.
  • Observing and recording vital signs and overall wellbeing.
  • Supporting with repositioning and comfort during the night.
  • Escalating any clinical concerns promptly.
  • Working in partnership with the family and wider healthcare team.
  • Delivering high-quality person-centred care within a home care setting.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication at all times.

Key Job Requirements

To be considered for the role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience in complex care and/or community care.
  • Experience supporting children with complex medical needs.
  • Knowledge or experience of epilepsy and seizure management.
  • Understanding of ventilation support.
  • Experience with NJ/NG tube feeding.
  • Comfortable working independently on night shifts.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Shift Information

  • Night shifts: 10:00pm – 6:00am
