Complex Care Support Worker

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Workers to support a 16-year-old young man in his family home in Norwich (NR3). This rewarding role involves providing person-centred care to enable him to live safely, comfortably and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

The young person has epilepsy, cerebral palsy, hearing and visual impairments, dysphagia, and requires specialist clinical support including PEG and jejunostomy tube feeding, oral suctioning, oxygen therapy and nebulisers. Full training will be provided for the right candidate where required.

Shift Pattern

We have a variety of shifts available, including:

  • Day Shifts: 10:00am–6:00pm
  • Night Shifts: 9:00pm–9:00am

Flexible full-time and part-time hours are available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Support with all aspects of personal care and daily living.
  • Deliver clinical interventions including PEG and jejunostomy feeding, oral suctioning, oxygen therapy and nebuliser treatments.
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to seizures and changes in health.
  • Promote communication, wellbeing and social engagement.
  • Maintain accurate care records and work closely with the family and healthcare professionals.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in care or supporting individuals with complex health needs.
  • A caring, reliable and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to undertake specialist clinical training.
  • Flexibility to work a mixture of day and night shifts.
