We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team, to provide essential care and support to children and adults in the comfort of their home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Complex carer with Coyle Homecare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to service users. You will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:
- Provide 2:1 care and full support with personal care (washing, dressing, grooming, hygiene)
- Carry out daily tracheostomy care, including inner cannula changes
- Support ventilation setup and monitor respiratory status, including suctioning when required
- Administer nebulisers as needed
- Deliver PEG feeds twice daily and administer all medications via PEG
- Monitor for signs of infection (e.g. UTI, chest infections, C. diff)
- Manage urethral catheter care
- Perform all hoisting and transfers (bed to wheelchair) using appropriate equipment with 2 carers
- Maintain pressure area care and implement appropriate interventions
Role Requirements:
To be considered for the role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must have proven experience in complex care
- Competent in tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Experience with PEG feeding and medication administration
- Confident supporting ventilated patients
- Skilled in manual handling and use of hoisting equipment
- Able to work effectively in a 2:1 care package
- Strong observational skills to monitor and respond to clinical changes
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach to care
