Coyle Homecare Team Complete the National Three Peaks Challenge and Raise Over £2,500 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

On the 23rd of September, five members of the Coyle Homecare team successfully completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, raising over £2,500 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, a charity that provides life-changing palliative care and support to children and families, including many of our own service users.

A Difficult Challenge Worth Every Step

Many assume that the National Three Peaks represent the tallest mountains in Britain, but this is a common misconception. Instead, they are the highest peaks within each of the three nations: Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), and Snowdon over 100 (Wales). While Scottish peaks surpass Scafell Pike in height, the challenge remains one of the UK’s most iconic endurance tests, both physically demanding and mentally rewarding.

Over the course of 24 gruelling hours, the team climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, the highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales respectively. In total, the group walked 23 miles, ascended over 3,000 metres, and travelled 462 miles between the mountains.

While they enjoyed some sunshine along the way, the challenge was far from easy. The team tackled Scafell Pike entirely in darkness, contended with freezing temperatures, and persevered through limited rest stops between climbs. Their determination and spirit never wavered, spurred on by the incredible cause they were supporting.

“We’re incredibly proud of our team for pushing themselves to the limit,” said Todd Brownson, Director at Coyle Homecare. “The generosity shown by everyone who donated has been truly humbling and knowing that these efforts will help support the vital work of Noah’s Ark makes it all worthwhile.”

Visiting Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

Following the completion of the challenge, two members of the Coyle Homecare team had the privilege of visiting Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in Chipping Barnet to see first-hand the remarkable work being carried out.

Bradley and a colleague were warmly welcomed by Tony and Cerys from the hospice team, who provided a guided tour and shared insights into the specialist paediatric palliative care and family support services that Noah’s Ark delivers.

The visit offered a powerful reminder of why the challenge meant so much to the Coyle Homecare team, reaffirming the charity’s essential role in supporting children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families.

“It was truly inspiring to see the impact Noah’s Ark has on so many lives,” said Bradley Reddington, Manager at Coyle Homecare. “We’re proud to have supported such a meaningful cause and look forward to continuing our relationship with them in the future.”

Supporting Noah’s Ark Hospice

Coyle Homecare would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and donated towards this fundraising effort. The funds raised will contribute directly to Noah’s Ark’s invaluable work, helping to ensure that children and families across North and Central London continue to receive the care, comfort, and compassion they need.
